President of Equatorial Guinea Inspected FHEC’s Project at Bata Port

 

President of Equatorial Guinea, Mr. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, inpsected recently the FHEC’s project sites at Bata Port.

 
During his visit to the project at Bata Port, Mr. Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo toured the sites for the landside stacking yard, wave screens, and the wharf for ships up to 50,000 dwt. The president was satisfied with the progress of the works under construction and expected that the Chinese builders would keep up the good workmanship to complete all the works in Equatorial Guinea.
 
Bata Port was first built in the 1960s and currently CCCC-FHEC is executing the expansion and renovation works of the port, which covers the expansion, reconstruction and extension of breakwaters, wharfs, stacking yards, roads, buildings, and installation of equipment and machinery for both marine and landside operations. The breakwaters will total 2433 m long and one berth is being built for ships up to 50,000 dwt and another for ships up to 20,000 dwt, both being pier-type gravity structure with caissons. ()
