Completion of Multipurpose Wharf in Caofeidian Port Complex Earlier than Scheduled
The multipurpose wharf constructed by CCCC-FHEC in Caofeidian Port Complex was completed 11 days earlier than the schedule.
The wharf totals 440m long and is made up of 25 gravity type caissons, with designed yearly throughput of 3,250,000 dwt. Two 40,000 dwt multipurpose berths are built, which can also receive 50,000 dwt container carriers.
The finished project can meet the rapidly increasing throughput of general cargos and containers at the port complex, improving its container handling capacity, and provide a strong support for the development of industries adjacent to Caofeidian Port Complex. (Zhao Li)
