The marine works of Phase I of the coal terminal in Jinzhou Port, to be constructed by CCCC-FHEC, has now started.

The works includes a wharf and a southern cofferdam. The wharf, which is located at the west end of northern shoreline of the fourth port basin, is a gravity structure made up of 57 caissons and consists of three 70000 dwt specialized coal loading berths which total 820m long.

The southern cofferdam, which is located at the west end of western coastline of the fourth port basin and totals 2794m long, is a ripraped cofferdam with its seaside armored with tetrapods as protection.

The works shall be completed on 20 Feb., 2014 with total construction duration of 611 calendar days. (Zhao Li)
