Completion in advance of General-Contracted Wharf Works of Phase III of Huanghua Port
The wharf works of phase III of Huanghua Port, executed by No.1 Eng. Co. of CCCC-FHEC, was completed on 18 July 2012, thirty-tree days earlier than the schedule, which allows more time for installation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
The project of Phase III of Huanghua Port is the first ever general contracted works being executed by CCCC-FHEC, including marine works, civil works, equipment installation and affiliated works.
The wharf is designed to consist of four 50000 dwt specialized piled beam-and-slab berths for coal loading, which can also receive 100000 dwt bulk cargo ships.
The wharf is made up of 20 sections with 60m long each and totals 1200m long and 32m wide.
The wharf is of great significance to the general contracted phase III of Huanghua Port. It will enhance the shipping capacity for coal-transportation and push up the economic prosperity in the Bohai Economic Rim. (Zhao Li )
