Completion of Breakwater Works at ChangxingIsland in Dalian

The west breakwater and the north wave wall on the cofferdam in the public port complex at Changxing Island in Dalian was built and completed recently by CCCC-FHEC.

The works, which is located along the northern coast of the Hulushan Bay and consists of a west breakwater totaling 5712m long and east and west cofferdams totaling 4372m long, is the longest ever breakwater in the northeast region of China. The works occupied an area of 49.7578 km2 and the construction duration was two and a half years.

The works, upon completion, will contribute to improving the berthing conditions in the public port complex, assuring proper operation and production of the ships, and protecting the built-up works within the water area of the port, with an aim to further accelerate the construction and development of Dalian Shipping Center.
