Rio Grande Bridge in Jamaica Completed and Accepted

With 22 months arduous efforts, the Rio Grand Bridge in Jamaica undertaken and built by CCCC- First Harbour Engineering Co., Ltd. was completed as scheduled and was checked and accepted by the Client on September 4, 2012.

The Rio Grand Bridge is located at the northern coastal ring road H2K in Jamaica with a total length of 810 m, including a section of road of 600 m and a bridge of 210 m as well as a railway culvert. The superstructure of the bridge consists of four spans of steel H-beams of 44.5+2×60.5+44.5 m with the beam height of being 2.5 m.

After a careful site inspection, the Client announced on the site that the bridge passed the inspection and checking and was accepted. The Jamaican client was satisfied with the results of inspection and checking and highly appraised the overall quality of the project. He expressed his sincere gratitude towards those who took part in the construction of the bridge and hoped to further cooperate with FHEC.()
